on the road again

Typical. As soon as we get up it's clear it's a lovely sunny day. Even worse, when we go outside it's warm too! Shocking.

Up reasonably early (by holiday standards), car packed, coffee, quick stop in St. Andrew's then off to Perth via Abernethy. A delicious lunch with old friends (not that they're old that is) sitting in the sunshine, followed by dropping +1/3 and +2/3 off to have a sleep over with their respective old friends (again, not old) leaving just +1/2, +3/3 and myself. +1/2 has further reduced the ranks by joining her old book group (okay, their combined ages is old) leaving just a tired wee +3/3 and myself in the hotel room for the evening. +3/3 is currently gently snoring away, dreaming no doubt of his new lego set.

It's the first time I've been back to Perth since moving nearly two years ago. Our old house appears much the same; the trees we planted have grown well. The city has gained some shops, lost some shops and the buskers appear to be favouring jazz interpretations of current hits. Apart from that it hardly seems like 10 minutes since we left.
