Life's Little Moments

And the Gold goes to...

Jezz from Team Hummie in the Aerial Gymnastics, (ladies division.) As you can imagine, the crowds were going wild as Jezz completed her very complex and precise routine!  Before she entered the arena, we discussed which side is her best and how she wanted to be sure that I captured the speed of her wings.  The stadium behind her was in heavy shade, which allowed the camera to just see her, in all her glory.  You may notice that her costume isn't quite as crisp at it might be - but she can be forgiven since, in addition to practicing for the AOG, she also raised two unruly kids this summer.

Team Hummie still has several competitions over the next few days, so tensions are running high.  One of P-Hummie's most despised rivals showed up and P was heard making disparaging comments about Attila's very worn costume.  I'm afraid to say that I'm inclined to agree with P, but you can judge for yourself - there's a shot of Attila at the breakfast bar in Extra.

In other Medal news, Team Monarch pulled out all the stops in the Eclosure Competition that began yesterday.  Number 3 was out in short order and with little fanfare, while #4 gave the judges quite a show as she slowly extricated herself from her Chrysalis, almost like a strip tease, actually.  I've posted a sequence of six shot on Flickr, Starting HERE with #4 still in her shell.  You can easily see why she took a medal.  (Both she and her male sibling were released - one by me and the other by my neighbor.  The male I released went off with some extra thoughts for my Father-in-law - he would have enjoyed seeing this.)

It's hard to believe that all of the Olympics will be over in a few short days - however, there is still a lot of excitement, thrills and chills ahead, so please tune in.  All today's AO Game reports can be found here at #AOG17.  Please stop by and leave some comments and bling for your favorite teams!
