It Was 30 Years Ago Today…

There was only ever going to be one blip for me today...

I spotted these initials and date carved on a tree trunk several months ago and thought it would make a perfect blip for 19th August. So I was out early, as there was rain forecast for later. However is was quite gloomy in the woods and so the ISO has been raised to try and get a reasonably steady shot.

One can only wonder what happened to the people who were responsible for putting this on the tree. Were they lovers or friends? Do they still live in the village and do they still belong to each other?

It is now about 10 m off the ground. How high was it 30 years ago?

So many questions and sadly no answers.
