Fortune Favours the Bold

The sun is shining, the sky is blue, it feels very warm and there is a gentle breeze ruffling the topmost leaves of the trees. Dare I hoist the sun umbrella on the patio?
So far this so called summer, every time I have done that the sun has rushed to disappear and the rain clouds have rolled in to spoil the party.

Be sure that the great and good of this parish have been rewarded in their Wednesday jaunt to the hills leaving this Lady to fill the hours with shopping , blipping and present wrapping....... Oh and hopefully finding time to sit in the sun absorbing some vitamin D, now that sitting is a little less painful.

This cardigan is for Glasgow daughter's birthday on Saturday and was specifically knitted to use those pewter buttons I bought in the Spider's Web wool shop in Lerwick when we had our flying visit there in June. The shop was having a sale before it closed for good at the end of July and these were my find. Should the cardigan not to be to Lucy's taste, hopefully she will keep the buttons for future use.
