It's actually been quite pleasant in the shade but working out in the direct sunshine was difficult. Angie managed an early morning ride and I took Flash for a walk and paddle in the local lake.

The bit of outdoor work was concerned with getting the tractor and a trailer prepared for picking up some straw bales tomorrow. Just three possibly four bales - should just use the car I guess. But nowadays a bale is somewhat bigger than the handy ones of my youth.

Midday Skypeing with a German friend in Grenoble in an office. A colleague of his appeared in the frame saying it was time for lunch - friend had some difficulty in persuading him he was too busy and didn't want to go. The French know how to enjoy the important things in life ..... and cats too - Jerry this evening after watching the horses being mucked out.
