One-Act Play and a Promise

"Dotty, can you get a move on? How much longer are you going to hang out on that feeder?"

"Listen, who did most of the feeding of those two hungry kids? I'm worn to a frazzle and need to build up my reserves!"

"I'm tired of sitting here in the rain! We can come back later when it lets up."

"What don't you understand about 'I need to build up my reserves'? Who laid those eggs, anyway? Not you, that's for sure."

"Oh no! She's back! And she has a new lens on that stupid camera! We have to split up -- she can't shoot both of us at the same time..."

[He was right -- see extra. The promise? No birds tomorrow!]
