Celebrating summer ...

..in Hebden Bridge.

Yesterday was warm and dull, today was very warm and sunny, too warm for our first class back at Pilates.

After Pilates, Chris and I had a quick trip over to Hebden Bridge as he wanted to visit the Rohan shop. We went to the one at Long Preston a week or two ago but he put off getting anything. Today he did make purchases, shame our discount voucher finished on the 31 August!

I sat outside (it's a very small shop) and had a cup of tea and piece of flapjack watching Hebden Bridge in summer mode. (Extra) It was only the children parading through in new school uniforms that reminded one that it is now September and the new school term.

We had a wander around town and crossed back over the 'Old Bridge' seen here. Built in 1510 and more recently restored in 2011. There were children paddling in the R Hebden below amongst the ever present ducks.

Lovely to see all looking so well after last winter's horrendous floods. Hope this winter is kinder to them.

(Just learned from the tv news that this pub hasn't yet reopened!)
