Victorian Houses

Another decent nights sleep........we woke to bright skies although it was very hazy.

Hub had already suggested we go to Crosby for a nice long walk today as it was going to be warm. He likes being by the sea, coming from "darn sarf" ;-)

By the time we'd driven over there the sun was doing a good job of burning off the haze. The car park was relatively quiet.....luckily I noticed that they now have pay and display, rather than free parking...£1.90 for 4 hours not bad though :-)

We walked the entire length of the promenade, and the. Around the lake and to the adventure are! Where there is a bar and bistro.

Fortunately we chatted to a group of people as we were getting out of he car and they mentioned it, so that was where we headed for our lunch. hub had ham egg chips and peas, tuna sandwich and fries for me.

We sat for a good hour or more, watching lots of children playing around in kayaks, row boats, little sail boats, speed boats.....I think it was some kind of school trip......they were having a great time :-) I was going to post a blip of a row of little sail boats being towed out by a speed boat......but hub chose today's shot.

There are some lovely old Victorian houses along the coastal road, and looking back across the lake with the ducks and geese made a pretty picture for today's offering.

Need to go and get ready now, quiz night tonight :-)

Again, sorry I'm being a bad girl not managing to comment very much at all at the moment.......am trying to give a smattering of stars and hearts here and there :-/
