The Ebb Tide

A skedaddle round the place - keys to drop off, mum to visit, burgers and beer to buy, before a meet up with the Steves at the pontoon at 1pm. For we were off for a cruise in company to Cramond.
Not such a fine day as the day before, but a good breeze for a close haul, helped a bit by a big spring tide, and then into the river at Cramond, nicely sheltered by the surrounding trees. And the peeps at Cramond BC got their gas BBQ fired up, and the bottles of Shetland Ale flowed. So, high tide was upon us and it was time to leave - here’s Malin ahead of me just heading through the gap in the much blipped teeth. After that, we got the genny up and motor sailed back. With a tot of MrT’s finest Cuban rum to keep the cold at bay. A grand day out.
And much later, United 93 on the TV. What a great great film that is. But it’s not entertainment. And it’s not entertaining what people continue to do because they think Allah has given them some sort of pass. Lord have mercy, indeed.
