Happy to see you - come back soon!

The volunteers were dancing and singing for the visitors as we arrived and again as we left the Athletics stadium after some of the last Paralympic events - happy to have been a part of it and that bar a few hitches, Rio has managed to stumble its way to putting on a fantastic party.

We had a great view of the long jump, with the athletes warming up and doing practice jumps for ages before actually starting their attempts. Ronald Hertog, the Dutch competitor, was interacting with the crowd and had us all rooting for him, but in the end, no one could match Markus Rehm's amazing jump of over 8m and  we were all roaring our approval. In fact, the view of all the other modalities was also much better than I expected, so we could see the shot putting, javelin and discus, although the start and finish of the races was right over the other side.

So much to remember, but it's late, and this blip's later still, so no more for now. One day I'll catch up with all the others - and hopefully also have time to find out what you've all been up to.
