Let's go! NOW

Today has been typically equinoctial, with tropical type downpours and the occasional patch of sun. Some of the latter occurred in the time I took the camera and went to the beach. Most of the birds were sheltering somewhere. On the rocks where I often see kawau paka, there were four of the little pied shags. They allowed me to get quite close. Unfortunately the sun had been blocked by clouds again, and the grey light did not help photography.
Nevertheless I am quite pleased with this one, grabbed as they decided I was too close for comfort.
On the way back I saw a tui in a banksia tree. It quickly hid, but this fantail (Piwakawaka) flitted about and  a shot taken more in hope than design is my extra for today.
