Oil and Water don't mix

Three years ago today,  I and about three hundred other druids and pagans met at Glastonbury, whilst hundreds more gathered elsewhere around the globe. Glastonbury opened the first ritual of magic and Will to resist the threat of fracking in England, in Britain, and around the world. From this opening ceremony, The Warrior's Call was born.

The sigil in the centre of my hopefully demonstrative oil and water backdrop was presented to the world as a focus for our intention and as a standard behind which we did what we do. The chosen chief of the largest druid order in the world described the ritual as the largest ever held on the planet, larger even than those done in the last world war to withstand Hitler's invasion forces.

Of course, not everyone here will give credence to magical working, and I don't wish to offend anyone, so think of it as a candle lit in prayer and I think it works well enough. But we remain largely frack free in Britain. A small island, densely populated, and reliant upon aquifers through which the fracking companies feel happy to drill - in the published knowledge that their drilling causes leaks into water sources. I'm agin it. How 'bout you?

The next global meeting is October 15th with Voices on the Wind. Sadly the domains are now defunct.
