at last

I have been trying to capture a decent photo of a kangaroo for Devondumpling ever since starting my blip journey. Today I saw lots of them.

We visited Burrendong Dam which is 150k away from here. It was built in the 1960s to capture water for irrigation and flood mitigation and is three times the size of Sydney Harbour. We used to go there for camping holidays when we lived in Dubbo and the water level is usually much lower due to drought. At the moment it has forgotten how to stop raining  so the dam is full and the paddocks are waterlogged.

Extras include kangaroo with joey, bottle tree and Dutch iris buds.
