Willing helpers

The Corbridge Chamber Music Festival continued today. We attended an afternoon concert performed by Estrella, a group of 4 pianists who play music for 8 hands on 2 pianos. There performance was huge fun, with an emphasis on 20th and 21st century music.

This evening we heard the Goulds play a piano trio by Saint-Saens and then a piano quartet played Faure (Arvid Engegard, Juliet Jopling, Rosie Biss and Ben Frith.)
Their ensemble playing, especially in the slow movement was superb.

We left before the late night concert but will be back tomorrow for more, including an Olympiad tomorrow afternoon.

Here are 2 of the programme sellers outside St Andrew's Church in Corbridge. They were slightly surprised to be photographed but I think they enjoyed it! Thanks girls.
