Arizona Dreamin’

Crunchy

I've had thrashers and cardinals pick up peanuts and fly away but this was the first time I've spotted a Gila woodpecker do so.  I guess when they're hungry, they're hungry.

I left the hummingbird feeder out last night by accident.  The nectar was still there this morning.  That's good news.  It means the Mexican bats have finished their migration through the neighborhood.  Now I don't have to worry about there being nectar out at first light.  That's when the hummers begin to feed for the day.  Yippee!  I can sleep a little longer.
