Fall Fuffit

I heard the long-tailed-tit troupe in the garden this afternoon when Jazzy and I returned from our walk. They were at the top of the ancient hedge. I know it's ancient because it contains such a variety of trees and shrubs.

The orangey blur is field maple helicopters. On all our other field maples they turn either yellow or pinky-yellow. I love this tree which overhangs the lane. The dark berries are buckthorn, the red hawthorn.

(Fuffit is one of the LTT's many nicknames.)
