Gargle

Since we have visitors, we had to go to Carcassonne and wander around la Cité. Something we almost never do ... it is still crammed with tourist gewgaws and people with selfie sticks. Unfortunately the weather has turned grey and overcast, so it wasn't at all photogenic. Here's a gargoyle on the cathedral.

Earlier, the market in Lézignan, where I bought a giant bream for dinner, figs for pudding, and some lovely tellines (tiny clams) to toss quickly in olive oil, garlic, and basil for nibbles with aperos. It's now pouring with rain, and in the most exciting news for weeks, a tiny trickle of water has appeared from the fountain.
