If you can't beat them...

Wet Feather.

I stepped out of the Lodge this morning to start another day of wrecking dismantling the verandah.   As I moved round the side there on the lawn was a Wood Pigeon feather.   Wet from the overnight rain.

It isn't often I see  something and think that's it ,that's my blip for the day!  That is exactly what I thought when I saw the feather.  I think what I found so eye catching was the way, even after it had left the bird, the waterproofing was working.   The rain had formed these droplets all along the rachis (shaft) and each droplet working as a magnifier.
