An unlikely pair...

Dear Diary,

I went to the Mennonite market to get some veggies and these gourds caught my eye.  They seemed to be in deep conversation with each other and I just had to bring them home to put on my table.  I usually buy some decorative gourds each year but these really are the most unusual ones I have ever seen.

The leaves are falling fast and furiously now; the yard doesn't even look like we raked a few days ago!  Friends from Boston are coming today for a couple of days for a bit of leaf "peeping" as we say around here.  None too soon either as I would say by the end of the week the show will be over.
