But, then again . . . . .

Toadstool.

It was Mrs TD’s birthday yesterday, we ventured out to buy her a radio and she came back with two. Unfortunately, one of them didn’t work, it’s CD player  was doing a commendable imitation of a vinyl record  player and jumping grooves, so it went back today. It’s going to take a week or two to get a replacement. The nice assistant who dealt with our complaint did suggest we might like to travel through town to pick up one from another branch; we politely suggested that we might not.

Now it’s back to trying to catch up with Blipfoto after a period of neglect due to trying to catch up with other projects; while I have photographs for most days until the last week, many of them will be consigned to the bin once I’ve looked at them.
With that in mind, I’ve just posted “In A Cup” from Friday the 7th.

On the beekeeping front, the one activity that cannot be neglected, the critters are being intensively fed to supply their provisions for the winter. I did buy a few wooden feeders after setting up the apiary last year; their design isn’t quite “au point,” with the result that I’m having to visit them far more often than I would like to clear blockages and return bees to the correct side of the barrier that should prevent them from drowning in sticky sugar syrup. The result is that I have to suit-up to feed them which shouldn’t be necessary, even for one allergic to bee venom, and have filled the trays up with grass so that the bees can climb out if they are careless enough to fall in; it’s a bit like putting ladders in swimming pools.
The Blip was, obviously, taken at the apiary and the subject looks rather like an albino chanterelle, but I’m not going to taste it to find out.
