The Old Map Shop

This tiny building on the edge of Caldbeck has been offered for sale since 2012 and was vacant long before that. A map framer use to run a business there but with sparse passing traffic, and very little pedestrian footfall he gave up.

We were attending a charity craft fair next to this and to the list I will have to add:- minimal signage and advertising! I sold no jewellery and we didn't get a chance to talk to many people about our photography. Ah, well, we tried!

Back to this building! The planners hope that before it becomes too dilapidated it could be converted into a home for a local couple. No plumbing, no sewerage and no internal staircase and probable no surrounding land actually belonging to it will make it quite a challenge.
