DERELICT SUNDAY

A good service at church followed by our usual trip into the countryside around looking for dereliction.  We took the road to Ramsbury, a road we didn’t remember going on before and came across this little tin shack shelter, which looked quite derelict, but of course, it might accommodate some animals in bad weather, would make it “not” derelict!

Although the sky was quite grey, we stopped many times to look at various birds and saw quite a lot of red kites, red legged partridges, fieldfares and pheasants, but Mr. HCB had forgotten to put his binoculars in the car, so wasn’t able to identify some of the other birds we saw - he won’t make that mistake again!

The colours of autumn are still beautiful, despite it being quite dull - see my extra photograph - I took this while we watched the antics of about five squirrels all scrabbling about looking for food.

We had been following a barrel sign which we hoped led to the Ramsbury Brewery where we understood there was a brewery, distillery, smokery and oil press, with a shop supplying real ales, single estate vodka and smoked fish and game.  However, the brewery isn’t open on a Sunday, so we have made a note to visit on a weekday soon and no doubt it may feature in one of my Blips at a later date.

Thank you for your kind comments, stars and hearts for my Street Challenge blip yesterday;  I apologise for not responding, but we were out for the afternoon and evening.

     in its pockets
          than all the other seasons.”
