Santa’s Little Helper

Santa was quite pleased with his little helper this year.  In past years his little helper was . . . (well wonderful but little).

In the past few years Santa’s little helper has been the Rippingale Feast ‘Rose Queen’.  The Rose Queen was always chosen from junior school young ladies, but this year in honour of the Queens 90th Burpday it was opened up to young ladies up to the age of ninety or even older.  Although being considerably younger than ninety Annabelle won the competition and is this year’s Rose Queen and subsequently Santa’s Little helper.

Jesting apart Annabelle really enjoyed herself, and was overwhelmed by the sheer look of wonderment on the little-one’s faces when they come up to see Santa – it’s what draws me back for another round of duty when (if) asked.  Thank you Annabelle.

ps: It was suggested that Santa’s little helper might like to sit on Santa’s knee this year – but she told me to behave myself . . .

Mrs W thought that Santa should be so lucky -  no chance - and he’s not up to much at his age anyway so no worries there – for anyone . . .
