End of term

The last day of November, not as frosty as yesterday but quite a keen wind.
Opticians this morning followed by Pilates. This is my last one till after Christmas as I have other things on in the coming couple of weeks so 3 of us had a kind of 'end of term' outing afterwards to the garden centre for tea and cake!

Of course we then had to take a look around Santa land. He was in and there were 38 in the queue and it's still November! (You apparently have to wait for your number to come up on the display boards)
I was pleased to see that Elvis (the parrot) has been moved into one of the heated green houses. It's a shame we can't get the peacock in there.

Walking back the sun was going down and we were treated to great skies all the way home. I rushed upstairs and took this from the bedroom window looking across the back garden. November departing in glory it would seem.

Earlier I had noticed that the flowers from yesterday's funeral were on the war memorial. I think this is a nice tradition in our village.

Another tradition on a Wednesday is an early visit to the pub with friends. Long live traditions.
