Pondering

This guy took some time to sit on top of my new feeder and bask in the warm sun.  Despite the temperatures, staying in the sun is wonderful for humans, too. Pretty birdie in large.

Winter has arrived in southern Arizona.  Highs for the next two weeks are forecast to be between 60°-68° (15°/20°) but more significantly, the lows will range between 30°-36° (-1°/2°).  In fact, the last two nights we've been under a freeze warning.  Overnight the temperature was 24° (-4°).  This begins the "changing clothes three times a day"season. Warm in the morning, light during the day and warm after sunset!

My clavicle doesn't really hurt anymore but with the three fractured ribs, I haven't been so lucky.
