Pine Cones

BB did his last cello practice this morning and then had to get ready in double quick time.  It was dress down day at school, in return for taking in a donation for the Foodbank and a donation for Christmas hampers (which are raffled off at the Christmas show).  We walked down the road together and went our separate ways.  I went for a walk – the same route as last Friday.  Last week was like a winter wonderland, today it was very mild and still, but at least the sun came out.  Once I was back in town, I went on a Christmas present hunt and was moderately successful. It was then home for a bit of house tidying and cleaning.

After a very quick lunch, BB and I headed over to North Berwick for a badminton competition.  I dropped him off at the sports centre, made sure he was registered and then headed into town in search of a birthday present for TT, before returning to the badminton competition.

He played well and got to the semi-final of his group, but he wasn’t very happy with himself.  However it did mean that we could get home a bit earlier, which was helpful as we had friends arriving.  We had a lovely evening, and were the recipients of a new gin which will have to be tried out soon.  Thanks L&R!

Here are some pine cones spotted on my morning walk.
