New entrance

This was a picture captured on the run into Waverley Station this lunchtime, on the way to Glasgow for a meeting and an opportunity - finally - to have a little coo over a colleague's (still relatively) new baby. There was lots of lovely light over the Clyde as we headed back into Queen Street on the low level train (a new experience for me) to come back to Edinburgh for some departure drinks for another friend, but unfortunately there was never an opportunity to stick the camera against the window and snap.

This is a bit unsatisfactory because I cut off the bottom of one side of the archway, but the general openness of the new entrance, with the glass panels, gives an emerging impression of what the 'new' Waverley will look like when complete. The added bonus of this photo is that it also takes me back to my orange period. I know you were missing it.
