Calm before the storm II

We have updated forecast for rain.
Today 17,7mm
Saturday 102,5mm
Sunday 70,2mm
Monday 15,5mm
All that with strong winds and possible whirlwinds and small tornadoes. This will be interesting. I hope everyone stays safe. Just a while ago the sun was shining very nicely. We took that slot and took the dogs out even if it wasn't their "go-time". If the water is going to be ankle deep tomorrow I don't know how we'll get the dogs to do anything as they can't go in water. This could be very interesting.

I suspect we'll have some blackouts. They are not rare here in general. So if that happens, we lose internet too. And we could lose the internet even if the power stays on.

The funny thing here is, that when you lose power, you lose water too. Can't even flush a toilet. We have candles, water in fridge and our heat and oven work with gas, so we should be all right. I'm charging camera batteries and we are downloading from Netflix to iPads and laptops, so we'll even have entertainment other than books.

I have never in my life experienced this level of heavy rain (if it takes place), so I'm kind of looking forward to seeing what it will be like and trying not to get too excited because people might actually get hurt if they are not careful. Kind of mixed feelings. I'm glad there's no thunder in forecast, because then I would be too scared.

BTW, we finally got our dogs registered to town hall. That only took 3 visits to town hall (1. time their systems didn't work. 2. We got a call that papers are ready and went again. Got invoices to be paid. Went to an actual bank to pay the invoices so it will be done correct 3. Went back to city hall with the proof of payment and then the lady clicked the computer for a time that felt like eternity and she had to call someone for help but finally we have 3 certificated to the dogs (one each) that we have to show the police if they ask for doggie registration.) All that city hall business went down in Spanish. We didn't every moment know what was going on, but it went down in Spanish, we got the thing sorted out and that's all that matters. Now we are wondering if we have to do that again when we move to our own house...
