Kids camp: day 5

I'm too tired to decide on one picture. so.... these kind of "go" together.
Morning beach: on Galiano Is. I've never been there before - it's great! Faces east (obviously) all sand , hardly anyone around(we were early ...), a nice trail to get to it. Kids had a blast "bombing" a big bunch of kelp.... then we had stock up on groceries and many cartons of milk!
Sunset on our beach: (faces NW)...We made a "viking boat" for Dickens, the black lab dog that belonged to our family (H's brother) in Durango CO. (we visited them in July.) It's a tradition we have when someone we know and love dies, we make a little driftwood boat with a candle and send it out to sea at sunset while remembering stories about them. We've never done one for a dog. But heck, why not?

In between, there were projects in the studio. Tatum made the boat, Oskar made his own boat, and Nik some things you throw using cds (can't remember the name of them:-) All made Jack Sparrow headbands which they had on all afternoon and in the hot tub before dinner. Not too much time for ipads and such today. Lots of singing. all the time. Whew!

H is getting worn out - I do feel like I've got 4 kids here some of the time. :-) He thinks he should be getting some of his own work done, silly guy. Not this week!
It's now 10:40 - way past my bedtime! good night!
