Christmas Fun!

Among the several highlights of my daughter M's Christmas weekend visit with us was the decorating of these "ugly sweater" cookies from Trader Joe's, during which it quickly became evident that I was going to end up in second place for both speed and and artistic talent. (The middle one in the top row and the far right one in the bottom row are, alas, mine.)

You can see us hard at work in Phil's blip, and in my extra, M enjoying today's sunshine and residual snow after her artistic successes.

Saturday's highlight was seeing The Eagle Huntress together, which is now in my "top five favorite films" ever list!  Visually stunning and fascinating in both story and setting, it's a documentary that I'll never forget. Phil and I hope to see it again this week, and I look forward to further research on this part of the world.

On Monday, when many of you will be reading this, we're going to Phil's daughter E's home near Seattle for the day to celebrate with that branch of our family. That will be a lively scene, with seven adults, two teenagers, and two or three dogs in attendance!

I'm hoping to catch up here and get my Solstice/Yule cards out before the end of the year...
