Westport Beach Just Before the Rain Came

... and you can just see the Mull of Kintyre too, on the very far right of the visible land (centre of shot if you go large).

11.3C with a dry cloudy morning. Rain through the afternoon and forecast to become dry in the evening. Wind SW/WSW at a fairly constant 26/26 mph with gusts to 37 mph.

Apothecary7's day off.

Maeve the Deerhound wanted to go out for her early walk at 5.30am today ... what fun !

Mid morning we did our grocery shopping for the week ahead.

Late morning we went to Westport beach with Maeve and had a long walk towards Machrihanish. There were spectacular waves. Lots of them. The sea was very rough. The burns didn't have much water running today so we got all the way to Machrihanish Dunes golf course. There were quite a lot of people on the beach. Most had dogs. The rain started just before we got back to the car.

We went to Glenbarr for lunch then bought some North Beachmore Farm sausages before coming home. The waves were crashing on the shore all the way up the West of Kintyre today.

Afternoon telly. A good old movie ... Where Eagles Dare.
