Arizona Dreamin’

The End

...of another year.
It's been a miserable few days.  Rainy, overcast, cold. The kinds of days when the damp chill runs through to your bones.  I had to get out, so I waited for what would be a temporary break in the clouds, and took a short walk through the desert close to home.

When one thinks of desert, the first thing that often springs to mind is a vast wasteland of sand and dunes.  Not true of the Sonoran desert.  It's mostly dirt, scrub and low cactus, such as different types of cholla, barrels, agave and prickly pear.

And so it goes...the last weeks of the year filled with mom, a sunrise, a sunset, Hanukkah, Christmas, Zippy, a celebration, mountains, snow and desert. A taste of southern Arizona.
