Icy Sunset

A walk with the dog late afternoon took me to a local reservoir.  I hung around for the sunset which cast magnificent textures on the icy water - not quite solid ice but certainly interesting.

My 'new' camera eventually arrived (long story).  I decided to get a secondhand DX format Nikon to take away on holiday as I don't want to carry the large and expensive D750 around Mexico but I'll need a bit more than my compact.  As I have the lenses ready to go it was an obvious choice - I now have the D3200 which will do all I need it to do and is in very good condition - hardly used. It seems very cute compared to the bulk of the full frame.
