Emerging

I had a look around the garden over the Christmas period for signs of the Helebores (Christmas rose) coming into flower. Apart from traces of the old plants there was nothing.

Today, taking out the washing I spotted these emerging, plus several other similar plants. The warmth over the last few days must have given them a boost. You can see the white flower buds. Cold weather is coming we are told so that might put them on hold for a while but it's is nice to find these changes in the garden.

(Just looked back a year and my picture was of a flower from the same plant! How years vary. One of,the things I like about blip is this looking back and making comparisons)
