Light at the bottom of the garden

A vile night with horrendous wind. Luckily not much damage apart from the odd pot blown over including a large potted Rhodi.
Our neighbour's house, recently gutted by a young couple who have bought it, has had a window blown open. It looks to be hanging at an odd angle so maybe broken. We've had to contact the estate agents to get in touch with them. We had a key for our previous neighbour's but had to hand that in when it sold.

Despite the wind it has bee a lovely sunny morning. what struck me was the the witch hazels (Hamemolis) catching the sun at the bottom of the back garden. Went in for a closer look for the blip. Thought it might be nice for you to see both together. (The blue green thing on the left is a frog at the top of the steps!)
Still bright but we've just has a shower, maybe those snow, showers forecast are on the way. About to brave the elements to go to Pilates. I will suffer as it's the first for 5 weeks. I was away for two and then it has been closed for 3 sessions over Christmas. It will do me good - ouch!
