Feeding frenzy ..

on Coppice Pond.

Cold and drizzly walk this morning around the St Ives estate, out onto Altar Lane and then back down to the golf club and Coppice Pond. We spotted the Goosander at the head of the pond (first seen last week) but it didn't follow us down to the feeding station.

As usual the gulls were flying frenetically and I tried to catch them as they flew near. This was the best.

The Greylag arrived at full steam and then the two swans. At this point the gulls flew away and the Greylag joined us on the deck as he doesn't get on with the swans either! (Extra - rather appealing 'one legged' Greylag)

We've had a few sleety showers but none of the forecast snow here yet. Hope it stays that way.
