A time for everything

Wet afternoon

Sunday
Quite a long service at church this morning - it was a sort of Songs of Praise type service, where people had requested their favourite hymns/songs and said a little about why they had chosen them, with the usual bible readings and a short address. We had taken along a list of (mainly electrical) items we need to sell before returning to the States, and after the service as people were leaving, and over coffee, we were pleased to find buyers for most things! The main major outstanding item is my car - Roger's is a company car - but even then, a couple of people said they may be interested, on behalf of other family members - so hoping and praying it works out. It was a cold overcast day, and as we were driving to where we were going to walk in the afternoon, it started to rain. Fortunately, it wasn't heavy , but enough to make us quite wet over the course of our walk. We did have to be careful in places, as some of the rocks and tree roots were quite slippery in the rain, so we finally returned to the flatter trails at the lower levels. Even at this time of year, you can find quite a bit of colour in the forest, with the bracken and moss-covered rocks.
You will have to bear with me over the coming weeks, as my blips are liable to be even more erratic than usual, as we prepare for our move.
