Snow Dog

It's so difficult to get a decent picture of Archie! At least he stands out a bit against the snow but he was so excited by the white stuff falling from the sky he wouldn't stay still!!
Miss L had a class assembly this morning which was lovely. Mr K went to work late so he could come too. They were talking about New Year's resolutions and traditions. Miss L's was to "read with more fluency and expression"
She's been practising saying it over the last few days and consistently said she wants to read with "more flunacy" which I thought was so sweet I barely had the heart to correct her. Today she said "fluency" perfectly but grinned at me as she said it. Brilliant!!
As we'd got to school this morning just before 9am there were a few wispy flakes of snow beginning to fall. By the time we came out of the assembly at 10am at least an inch had settled on the ground and it was blowing a blizzard! The kids were giddy coming out of the hall to see the snow having been disappointed by the lack of snow overnight.
By the time we got home and let Archie out it was already easing up and within half an hour was all gone!!
Mr K went off to work and Archie and I had a lazy day. A bit of tidying, quite a bit of internet browsing, nice Facebook chats, some Etsy shop sorting and a lot of snuggling up on the sofa!
This morning the Little Misses both made their beds and tidied away a few things strewn on their floors. Day two of Operation-Keep-Our-Rooms-Tidy and it's going well so far!!!
