A Meandering Life...

WidWed 63 :: Perspective

I've given the challenge set by Hobbs a go. I'd call them a work in progress.

I don't normally venture into town with just my wide angle lens but today I did. Light wasn't great and between my shake, the shadows and the high ISO needed I struggled.

All 3 images were taken using my 7mm - 14mm lens set at 7mm.

Main Image: City Hall and Tower Bridge. 1/80th, f.18, ISO 1000.

City hall doesn't need a wide angle lens to distort it. I went with the leading line of the railing but so many lines take you in curves and loops before you move your eyes to the bridge.

1st Extra: New London Bridge Station. 1/60th, f.18, ISO 3200.

As an image for leading lines I like this one. The cross lines of the walls and stairs add something that contradicts the directional feel. I went mono because the yellow trip hazard stripes on the escalator and other H&S signs dominated the image.

2nd Extra: Tower Bridge.  1/60th, f.16, ISO 250.

Nearly became my Blip but didn't quite think the perspective was enough for the challenge. Like the others no cropping done and spent a bit of effort keeping the leading lines coming out of the corners. Had to wait for a cab as buses took too much space on the left hand side.
