Bits of Culture

Today the weather warmed up and the world turned wet and drippy. We decided it was time to take a rest from the skiing and went to town.

We started at the municipal art gallery where there was what I experienced as some interesting art and some much less interesting art on display.
The one I'm blipping caught my eye as a 3D artwork still being created.  One of the large canvases is a photograph, the other a painting of the photograph. A machine (too high up for the photograph) is slowly dripping salty water onto the mat which creates a similar feeling to the two canvases.  I found it interesting and worth studying for a few minutes. I liked the serendipity, and watching the process going on and could imagine returning later to see how the mat/salt develops. The artists involved are Gunilla Wiel-Svensson och Gunilla Leander.

In the evening we watched the film "Brooklyn" at Härnösand's Film Studio. A really enjoyable film well worth seeing.
