Le moulin at Flagy

Friday
Another very cold but sunny day, under clear blue skies. I was doing jobs at home in the morning, but was invited out to lunch to friends near Flagy - about a 30-minute drive to the south of Fontainebleau. Penny was a good friend when we lived here last - our two daughters were in the same year at school and became good friends. More recently she had remarried and been living in the U.K., but they returned to the area about three months ago, to retire over here. This afternoon was supposed to have been Book Club at Penny's, and she had offered lunch beforehand, however it turned out virtually everyone was either out of town or unavailable, so Penny cancelled it, but invited me to go for lunch anyway, since it would be one of the last chances to get together before we leave. After a lovely lunch, we bundled up and went for a walk round the nearby village of Flagy, which has this charming hotel/restaurant, centered round an ancient flour mill. Unfortunately I had forgotten my camera, so this was taken on my phone!
