Walking on "water"!

Saturday
Our very cold but sunny weather continues. We were both at home in the morning, doing move-related jobs, then early afternoon we had a couple coming round to look at my car. Roger's car is a company car, but mine we need to sell. We had placed an ad. on a car sale site, but had very little interest, but when we showed the advert around after church last week, one of our members had said her brother and his partner may be interested. I hadn't really been holding out too much hope, even though it is in good condition with low mileage, but much to our relief and delight, they came, spent quite a while looking at it, took it for a drive and bought it! The car they had been driving was 18 years old, so an 8 yr old one is quite an improvement, and they seemed really thrilled with it! It was late afternoon by the time they left, but there was just time for a walk around the pond/lake at Samoreau, where we discovered it had frozen over a lot more just since Thursday afternoon, when I'd been there last, to the point that at this end, where the water is relatively shallow, the ice was strong enough to support the weight of this family out walking on the ice! In the evening, we were out, watching  the Opera from the Met. performance of Gounod's Romeo and Juliet at the cinema, which was excellent.
