Tiny Tuesday - Emerging Snowdrop

Only an inch or so tall, barely protruding from the tired, Sun-hungry grass through which it pushes. This snowdrop brings the promise of spring after winter, although I'm sure there's yet some bite left in the jaws of Jack Frost.

Some will say that it is bad luck and bodes ill to bring snowdrops into a home; whatever the lore I much prefer them in the ground in any case. In a few weeks time they will coat our verges and borders with a snow white coat. We'll probably go for a wander around Colesbourne Park in Gloucestershire, which specialises ion all things Galanthus. Hmm, Blip meet anyone?

Anyhow, this one is tiny and well suited to TT87, which jensphotos is hosting. And now to shake out the bones a bit... lying in damp grass trying to get focus on something too small for my eyes to focus on, well...
