Cottages in the glen

A pleasing enclave of cottages in Glen Massan this afternoon, more easily seen than in the summer because of the bare trees. One of them - all of them? - apparently belong to Emma Thomson; I've never bumped into her there but am grateful in the summer for the paths she has had created along the river bank.

My phone didn't do justice to the other photos I took; the mist began to reform as we headed back down the glen between 4.30 and 5pm and created some very pleasing effects among the trees. I've added one of them as my extra for today.
