From Amsterdam

One of the advantages of Cathy having a January Birthday from my perspective,  (and there aren't many from her perspective), is that there are flowers to photograph.  She has some lovely tulips at the moment and I decided to take this in a high-key(ish) way, with lots of negative space.  I rather like the end result, which only just made it up in colour as the mono conversion was quite striking :-)

Its been another busy day, working all week means that all the chores have to get done at the weekend.  But I did manage to find time for an hour's guitar practice (Sean Lakeman last night reminding me of the pleasures of 6 strings) and a quick trip out on the Ducati to keep everything ticking over mechanically.

Its just two weeks before Cathy and I head off for our little trip to Amsterdam.  We've been very poor in working out what we are going to see, but maybe we will start to make some plans tomorrow :-)
