Marjorie's ramblings

Minding your own business

So, you are happily shopping in Hexham Farmers' Market. You have the meat (in the carrier bag) and you are now the proud purchaser of a stem of sprouts. It's all going quite well, when a charming, disarming, young woman with a camera approaches you and starts talking about how well you look with the sprouts in your hand.

She asks you if you would mind being photographed. You are so polite, that you say that it's fine. (Probably best not to upset her.) Then she asks you to put your umbrella up; then to hold it back so it does not cast a shadow on your face; then she asks the men behind you to move because they are in the way of the poster.

It made for a different morning, but you wonder whether to go to that market again!

Here you see today's victim willing subject!

I was in Hexham for a haircut (postponed from the day that Mum had to go into hospital).

This afternoon I was expecting Tim to look at the computer, but I'd failed on the communication front, so he was not here. He is coming tomorrow and I'm very grateful.

I met Julie at the Forum Cinema for a showing of The Eagle Huntress. This is a film that you MUST see. It's quite amazing. The cinematography is mind blowing. The people in it are delightful and I now want to go to Mongolia!!

Catch this at a cinema near you.
