Birthday Girl

Our beautiful Miss L is seven today.
It snowed today like it snowed on the day she was born. That day could have turned out so differently but it didn't. She burst into our lives and has been brought sunshine to every day since.
She's funny, beautiful, sensitive, imaginative, generous, clever, creative, joyful, kind, mischievous, thoughtful and affectionate.
She wears spots and stripes at the same time; loves bright colours; leaves clothes wherever they fall and thinks washing should be kept to a minimum.
Her blonde hair is getting darker and darker; she thinks farts are hilarious and she's astoundingly good at pairs.
Monkeys are her favourite animal; she loves olives and "snacky dinners".
She loves cutting up paper, and sticking paper together with sparkly tape, and making things with paper and drawing things on paper. As she says, art is her life!
She's a bit of a soft touch - often giving in to keep the peace or to make others happy.
She tends towards the melodramatic - lots of shouting and stamping of feet but she smiles again in a heartbeat.
Most of the time she can't help but smile!
She loves wobbling her wobbly teeth; listens to The Famous Five every night; is currently reading The BFG and has a multitude of crazy voices to go with all her crazy faces.
She's perfect.

I woke up this morning with her whispering that she'd waited until 7am and now could she open her presents and good morning Mummy!!!
Lots of presents, a giant balloon, breakfast and then school.
I had a few hours pottering around with Archie then headed to Miss E's school to meet my mum and dad and watch Miss E playing in a netball match. I had wrapped up because of the snow and freezing wind but they had moved the match into the sports hall. Honestly, kids today......!!!!
They got hammered by giant competitors who clearly do nothing at their school but play netball but seemed to enjoy it!!
While I went to pick up the birthday girl Miss E went to the coffee shop with my mum and dad and some of her friends. She had a smoothie and brownie and felt very grown up.
Then it was home for a bit until Mr K got home and we all headed out to Pizza Hut in Milton Keynes.
After eating their body weight in nachos, salad, breadsticks, pizza ice cream and sweets the Little Misses were very full and very tired. They fell asleep on the way home which hasn't happened for a while.
Seven years ago February 10th was a good day.
It was pretty great today too!
