Top Withins

What an amazing change from yesterday. We headed up to Haworth Moor this morning in glorious sunshine. The wind had dropped and although there was a bit of ice under foot but there were splendid clear blue skies and warmth in the sun.

After crossing the clapper bridge at the Bronte waterfalls we climbed up to Top Withins thought to be the inspiration for Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights.

The ruined building and the trees behind it are like a beacon on the horizon for much of the walk, though I confess to have been up here on misty days when they have been barely visible. Not so today. Good company and the ever present antics of Buster scrabbling in the icy grass to chasing and growling at rocks this was a walk and day for lifting the spirits.
Thank you D for suggesting it.

More Panto tonight. Have a good weekend everyone.
