Fleshmarket Close

It was a lovely bright morning with blue skies, but it was very windy.  I went for a run in which I seemed to be hindered by the wind in all but one direction.  I would have gone further, but for the wind. It was a good day for hanging the washing out – but it had to be well-pegged.

We three headed into Edinburgh again today, to meet up with our friend D who was in town for the rugby.  He managed both a rugby match and a football match yesterday and still made it to meet up with BB later for drinks and food.

BB chose today’s lunch venue – the green place at the top of the steps is how he described it.  I eventually worked out where he was meaning.  We had a lovely lunch, with lots of delicious food and a really nice catch up with D.

We then headed to get our train home, and D headed off to buy gifts from Edinburgh for his children.  Once home there was homework and cello and a supermarket shop to be done.

At least we were all too full to require tea.

Although we left a glorious East Lothian day – it was dreich by the time we got into Edinburgh.  Here are the boys are walking up Fleshmarket Close - the steps - en route to the restaurant.  It was sunny in East Lothian by the time we got home, and I fitted in a quick river walk before it got dark.
