Wife and wife to be at a school for wives

A whole group of us went to Bell Shakespeare's performance of Moliere's School for Wives. It was fantastic. There were moments when the actors had to work around the raucous laughter of the audience, pausing the script for a minute, all the while keeping the physical humour going. The translation (I felt, as a non-French-speaker) was excellent, really bringing it into accessible 21st century Australia, but maintaining the wit, intelligence and poetry of the original. Arnold was very well played, but the servants were the stand outs, complementing each others timing and actions, and working as a team to make the most of their foolish characters.
